Diseases and influencing factors

Many factors have an impact on how long we live and stay healthy – they include social and economic factors as well as physical and lifestyle factors. And only you can influence the latter.

Individually adjustable risk factors – this is the situation in Switzerland:

Alcohol use:
Roughly one fifth of those over 15 years of age engage in high-risk alcohol use.

One quarter of those over 15 years of age are smokers.

Physical activity:
One third of the population living in Switzerland do not engage in sufficient physical activity.

Many people consume too much sugar, too much fat and too much salt.
